The special advantages of electrolytic plasma polishing are particularly useful in precision mechanics.

Very low removal rates during the polishing process keep the workpiece largely in its original dimensions. Disturbing burrs are gently removed. Due to the low thermal and mechanical stresses, the surface structures are not altered. Very low roughness values as a result of the processing lead, among other things, to better sliding properties of precision mechanical components, friction losses are minimised and wear resistance is increased.

As a result, the service life of plasma-polished components is extended.
